Spend an hour walking along the historic paths of what was once Germany’s largest lung sanatorium. – Learn interesting details from the planning of the historic site to the idea and construction of the treetop path.

Immerse yourself in the everyday lives of tuberculosis patients or Soviet soldiers, who all left their mark on the grounds, and go on a search for traces of the more than 100-year history of this magnificent site. Enjoy the vastness of the park and experience how nature is reclaiming its habitats.

 

Find out on this barrier-free tour how the once lost place became a “Saved Place”. – Our guides will take you on an exciting journey through time from the creation of the Beelitz sanatoriums to the present day and give you a glimpse of how the area will develop in the coming years.

        *Participation in guided tours is only possible with an additional, valid admission ticket for the park grounds of BAUM & ZEIT with treetop path. – Children and young people must be accompanied by an adult
      • Duration of the tour: 60 minutes
      • This guided tour is guided in German language
      • The public tour starts at meeting point A – the gatehouse.
      • Please arrive at the respective meeting point approx. 10 minutes before the start of the guided tour. – If you arrive late at the meeting point for the guided tour, there is no entitlement to a refund or cancellation of the booked service.
      • Maximum 30 participants – no age limit (Children & teenagers up to and including the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult).
      • The tour is barrier-free throughout. – There are seating stations.
      • Photography for private purposes is permitted. – Photo shootings are not possible during the tour.
      • Video recordings are only permitted with prior written consent.
      • Dogs are not permitted in the park grounds, on the treetop path and during the guided tour.
      • This tour can also be booked for private groups via gruppen@baumundzeit.de.
      • Private guided tours in English can be organized at short notice on request. – Other foreign languages on request.

Road to Fichtenwalde 13, 14547 Beelitz-Heilstätten

You can reach us via the A9  Berlin – Nürnberg departure 2 „Beelitz-Heilstätten“, or the Landesstraße 88. Parking lot 2 is open in winter.

By train:

You take the Regionalbahn Line 7 the route Berlin – Dessau, Get off at Beelitz – Heilstätten station and follow the signs for the Beelitz Heilstätten treetop walk (Baumkronenpfad). After a 5-minute walk you will reach the entrance at the “Pförtnerhaus” (gatehouse)
