Themed tour through several floors of the old surgery building

Indoor – themed building tour, not barrier-free (participation from 12 years, helmet compulsory)

During this 90-minute tour, you will not only see the operating theaters and patient rooms of the most famous building in the Beelitz sanatoriums, you will also visit the second floor with our guides. – You will visit the X-ray department and can enjoy the view from the flowered balcony where patients used to relax in the old days.

Marvel at how aesthetics and functionality once worked together in this expressionist model building.

There is no seating in the building. Helmets are compulsory for all tour participants.

  • Price: 15,00 € per Person*
    *Participation in guided tours is only possible with an additional, valid admission ticket for the park grounds of BAUM & ZEIT with treetop path.
  • Duration of the tour: 90 minutes
  • This guided tour is guided in German language
  • The tour starts at the entrance to the building (south side of the surgical hospital building). – Meeting point G.
  • Please arrive at the respective meeting point approx. 10 minutes before the start of the guided tour. – If you arrive late at the meeting point for the guided tour, there is no entitlement to a refund or cancellation of the booked service.
  • Wearing a safety helmet is mandatory throughout the building during the tour. – Safety helmets are provided free of charge.
  • Maximum 30 participants. – Participation only possible from the age of 12. – In addition, the participation of children & adolescents (from 12 years) are only permitted when accompanied by an adult.
  • The tour is not barrier-free.
  • Photography for private purposes is permitted. – Photo-Shootings are not possible during the tour.
  • Video recordings are only permitted with prior written consent.
  • Dogs are not permitted in the park grounds, on the treetop path and during the guided tour.
  • This tour can be booked for private groups via gruppen@baumundzeit.de
  • Private guided tours in English can be organized at short notice on request. – Other foreign languages on request.

You can reach us via the A9  Berlin – Nürnberg departure 2 „Beelitz-Heilstätten“, or the Landesstraße 88. Parking lot 2 is open in winter.

By train:

You take the Regionalbahn Line 7 the route Berlin – Dessau, Get off at Beelitz – Heilstätten station and follow the signs for the Beelitz Heilstätten treetop walk (Baumkronenpfad). After a 5-minute walk you will reach the entrance at the “Pförtnerhaus” (gatehouse)
