Park Rules & Regulations

In order to protect not only the animals and plants in our heritage gardens, but also the listed buildings, and to ensure a pleasurable visit for all our guests, the following rules must be observed: 

  • Please respect nature and do not pick or break off any plants or leaves.
  • Visitors are only allowed to explore the park on the paths that are open.
  • Anyone found unlawfully entering the buildings will be reported and prosecuted.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult while on the treetop walkway.
  • Children should not play in the forest areas. These are the habitat of insects.
  • Dogs are not allowed.
  • Owing to the risk of fires, smoking is only permitted in the refreshment areas.
  • Please deposit your cigarette ends and other rubbish in the litter bins provided.
  • Photography is permitted for private use only.
  • The use of drones is prohibited.
  • In extreme weather conditions (storms etc.) the park will be closed.
  • In the event of an evacuation, visitors must obey the instructions given by our staff.

You can buy your admission tickets in our online shop.

Your tickets will be sent to you as “print@home tickets”, which you can print yourself.

It is not essential that you print your tickets. The QR code can be scanned from your smartphone or tablet. Please open the document shortly before you arrive at the check-in desk and make sure that your screen is as bright as possible.

Online admission tickets are only valid on the date shown on the ticket and cannot be rebooked. 

Online admission tickets are not personalised and can only be redeemed once.

Discounts offered in cooperation with our partners can only be redeemed at the ticket office. 

Please note: Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with other special offers.

Discounted group tickets for a minimum of 15 people can be purchased online or from the ticket desk, provided one person pays for the whole group.

Tickets can be purchased at one of the ticket desks, however we strongly recommend that you buy your tickets online as this helps to reduce waiting times at the park entrance. Whenever possible, therefore, please purchase your tickets online ahead of your visit.

Annual passes can be bought at the ticket desks during opening hours. They are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Combination tickets – “Admission to the BAUM & ZEIT park with the treetop walkway, and the barefoot park”Combination tickets are only available for groups of 15 people or more. To book, please send your email in advance to gruppen@baumundzeit.de.

Your online tickets will be sent to you as “print@home” tickets, which you can print yourself. 

We accept both printed or digital tickets. Please open the document on your smartphone or tablet shortly before the tour commences and make sure that the screen is as bright as possible. 

Online tickets are only valid for the booked tour and cannot be refunded or rebooked.

Online tickets are not personalised and can only be redeemed once.

For safety reasons, visitors are only permitted to enter the buildings on a guided tour. Anyone violating this rule will be prosecuted.

Please arrive in good time at the designated meeting point for your tour. If you arrive late, you will not be entitled to a refund or rebooking. 

Safety helmets must be worn at all times in the buildings. The helmets will be provided by us.

Purchase of Tour Tickets on Arrival

We sell tickets for tours at the ticket desks, however we urgently recommend that you buy your tickets online, as we cannot guarantee availability when you arrive. Whenever possible, therefore, please book your tickets online ahead of your visit.

Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

Access to our main car park (P1) is via the roundabout at the “Beelitz-Heilstätten” exit on the A9 motorway. If coming from Berlin, please follow the signs for Beelitz after leaving the motorway. Directions can be found here – link

There are no long-stay parking spaces.

Please do not leave any valuables where they can be seen in your car. 

Disabled parking

There are disabled parking spaces in our main car park (P1) near the roundabout and at the entrance to the bus car park.

Parking fees

The parking fee is €3 per day for a car or mobile home and €2 for a motorbike, payable on arrival, either in cash or as a contactless payment.

Visitors who hold an official disabled parking permit may park free of charge.

Bicycles

Bicycle stands are located close to the ticket desks.

Length of stay

An admission ticket can only be redeemed once. As soon as you leave the park and the Baum&Zeit treetop walkway, the ticket will become invalid.

Disabled access 

The park, the treetop walkway, the observation tower and the restaurant next to the tower are all wheelchair accessible.

Wheelchairs and rollators can be borrowed free of charge from the ticket office on presentation of an identity card. Please note, however, that we only have a limited number of these and it is not possible to reserve them in advance. 

Dogs

Dogs are not permitted anywhere in the park and there are currently no facilities where dogs can be left. 

This rule does not apply to assistance or guide dogs. The relevant evidence must be presented. 

Weather 

You can visit the park and treetop walkway during almost every kind of weather – even when it rains, provided you are wearing suitable clothing.

In extreme weather conditions (e.g. heavy rain, hail or thunderstorms), however, we may have to amend our opening hours at short notice or temporarily interrupt access to the treetop walkway. 

In particular during thunderstorms, we are forced to close the walkway for a short time. As a rule, however, we can soon open it again.

We offer our visitors a wide selection of meals and snacks in various sections of the park.

There are toilet facilities at several locations in the park. Disabled facilities can be found in the toilet block next to the tower.

By car:

You can reach us via the A9 Berlin – Nuremberg motorway, exit 2 “Beelitz Heilstätten”, or the L88 minor road.

By train:

Take the RE 7 regional express train on the Berlin – Dessau line and get off at Beelitz Heilstätten station, then follow the signs for the “Baumkronenpfad” Beelitz Heilstätten. The entrance is about a five-minute walk away.
